About Peter Mitchell

Peter Mitchell emerged onto this little blue planet between the Sun & Pluto in 1957 and spent his formative years in the lower Hunter Valley between rural Maitland and industrial Newcastle.

Now residing in Lismore on Widjabul / Wia-bul Country, Bundjalung Nation (NSW), he is an internationally-published, award-winning writer, working across all narrative forms. The recipient of fellowships, mentorships and a 2015 Writers with Disability grant (Australia Council), he has participated in collaborations and art/poetry exhibitions. His writing has appeared in international and national print and online journals, magazines and anthologies. He has authored two  poetry chapbooks, Conspiracy of Skin (Ginninderra Press, 2018) and The Scarlet Moment (Picaro Press, 2009).
